This privacy notice applies to the recruitment platform of IBL Group companies, which is provided by an external service partner, Dayforce. It explains how IBL Ltd and its subsidiaries (“IBL Group”, “we”, “us”) collect, use, and protect the personal data of candidates who apply for positions within our group.

This privacy notice explains how personal data is processed through IBL recruitment platform for all companies of IBL Group who have selected Dayforce as Human Capital Management System.

Who we are

IBL Ltd, based in Mauritius, is the holding company of a conglomerate of companies working and investing in several countries worldwide. IBL Ltd has decided to invest in a centralized Human Capital Management platform, namely, Dayforce, offering recruitment module to its subsidiaries.

As a group, IBL Ltd and its subsidiaries aim at developing a talent pool where people can grow within our various companies.

When a candidate (“you”) wishes to submit a job application in a specific company being part of IBL Group, kindly note that your personal data will be collected and processed only by the company to which you are applying.

However, we also offer you the opportunity to be part of IBL Group talent pool if you consent that we share your profile and personal information, that you have provided through the platform, to other companies of IBL Group. We only do so when you have given your explicit consent for this sharing. Otherwise, your CV and profile will be processed only by the company where you have applied for a job vacancy.

Personal Data We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of personal data from candidates:

Contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number, email address)
Professional information (e.g., CV, work experience, education, skills)
Additional information provided by candidates (e.g., cover letter, references)
Information collected during the interview
Health conditions information to comply with the company’s safety and health risk assessment and associated law requirements for specific jobs.
Financial information to be able to prepare the job offer and contract of employment when you have been retained for the position in one of our companies.

Purpose of Data Processing

The personal data we collect is used for the following purposes:

Assessing candidate suitability for positions within the company where he/she has applied for, or our group of companies.
Assessing if the candidate is fit for duty for specific jobs as required by law and the company’s safety and health risk assessment.
Communicating with candidates about their application status.
Maintaining records of recruitment activities.
Maintaining records of IBL talent pool for future job opportunities.
Sharing new job opportunities corresponding to your profile which may be communicated to you by automated means or otherwise.

Automated and Human Reviewed Processes

The CV and profile of each candidate are initially analyzed by an automated system, which rates the candidate based on a set of predefined criteria. This automated process helps us efficiently shortlist candidates who meet the basic qualifications for the position.

However, we understand that automated systems may not always capture the full scope of a candidate's qualifications and potential. Therefore, ratings generated by the automated system will be subject to human review. Our recruitment team reviews the ratings and may adjust them if a candidate matches certain criteria that were not adequately assessed by the automated process.

Data Sharing and Transfers

We may share candidates' personal data with:

Other companies within our group for recruitment purposes, where appropriate consent has been obtained.
Our external service providers, who host the recruitment data base or who manage the recruitment process on our behalf.

IBL Ltd, as administrator of the centralised Human Capital Management System, has also access to the recruitment data base.

We ensure that all parties involved in the recruitment process comply with applicable data protection laws and take appropriate measures to protect candidates' personal data.

Your personal data is transferred outside Mauritius when you input your information on the Dayforce Cloud platform. The information is kept in Europe, and we have put in place appropriate technical and organisational security measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of your information.

Data Retention

Candidates' personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice, or as required by law. If a candidate's application is unsuccessful, his/her personal data may be retained for a specified period to consider him/her for future opportunities.

Data Protection Rights

Candidates have the following rights regarding their personal data:

The right to access their personal data
The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
The right to request the deletion of their data
The right to object to or restrict the processing of their data
The right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing.
