Where do we collect information from? 
You directly provide information to us when you fill out one of our online application forms. If you are successful in your application, we will also collect information from individuals that you have provided as a referee once we have made you a conditional job offer. 
Additionally, if you are successful our Occupational Health supplier will send you a pre-employment questionnaire prior to you starting employment with us. They will share the outcome of your assessment with us if it is relevant &ndash; for example, if you have a health problem that could be adversely affected by the work you&rsquo;ll be doing. 
Why do we collect and process your personal data? 
We need to collect and use your information to process your application. 
Lawful basis for processing your data 
Where we collect, use, or store any information about you we need to have a lawful basis to do so. The reasons why we use information about you are:

<li style="margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify; line-height: 106%; margin-top: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Legitimate interest: It is in our legitimate interest to process your data throughout the recruitment process and to keep a record of the process for a limited time. This allows us to assess your suitability for employment and manage the recruitment process. </li>

For example, you may decide you want to submit a general application our Talent Pool, which will allow us to contact you in the future about roles we think might be suitable. For example, checking your right to work in the UK is a legal requirement. </li>

Who has access to your data? 
We ensure that access to your data is limited on a strict &lsquo;need-to-know&rsquo; basis. This may include select members of HR such as the recruitment team, and other internal members of our organisation such as the interviewing panel and managers in the business area of the vacancy. 
If you are successful in your application and we make you an offer of employment, we will need to provide limited information to your referees to request a reference from them. Some roles will entail a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will require us to share your information with the DBS disclosure service for the purpose of checking your criminal record.&nbsp; 
How long do we keep your data? 
If your application is unsuccessful, your data is automatically deleted from our systems after 1 year. If your application is successful, your data will form part of your personnel file and will be kept on record for 3 years after your employment with us comes to an end.&nbsp;
If you choose to be added to our Talent Pool, we will store your data for a period of 18 months, after which time it will be deleted.
Your rights 
Under the data protection legislation, you have a number of rights as a data subject. You can:
