Purpose
This Privacy Notice tells you what personal information New Look Retailers Limited (&ldquo;New Look&rdquo;, &ldquo;we&rdquo;, &ldquo;us&rdquo;) collects about you, how it may be collected and what it may be used for.

When it may be collected
We start collecting information when you apply for a job with us and once you have been offered a job, as part of the pre-employment checks we carry out. 
We may also collect personal data about you from third parties, such as references supplied by former employers, information from employment background check providers and information from criminal records checks. We will seek information from third parties only once a job offer to you has been made and will inform you that we are doing so.
Why we collect and use your information
We collect and use your information for several reasons, these include:

Processing data from job applicants allows us to manage the recruitment process, assess a candidate's suitability for employment and decide to whom to offer a job. </li>

How long we store your information
Where your job application is unsuccessful, we will hold your personal information for 12 months.&nbsp;
If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment. The periods for which your data will be held will be provided to you in a new privacy notice.
Who we share your information with
We may share your personal data with third parties in certain cases, for example where it is necessary to administer the working relationship with you. Where we do so, these services will be based on a comprehensive contract which requires them to put in place appropriate security measures to keep your personal data secure, not to use it other than in accordance with our specific instructions and which obliges them to comply fully with data protection legislation including information security.&nbsp;
